The reasons to post your work are simple.

Let's think about how you can use your university work. Once it has been submitted and marked, you may, quite rightly, be proud of a good piece of work. You might decide to store it somewhere so that you can refer to it again. It may be that you check back on it regularly, reusing it again and again, but it is more likely that you will store it somewhere, find it again in a few years time, briefly scan it through and try to decide whether or not it is still worth the space it takes up.

Rather than let it take up space, you could post it here and it will be available to a great many more people who can benefit from it improving its utility. Thus, for you, the time and effort will already have been spent, and you will have derived the benefit from it, but others can enjoy the benefits also since the work has already been done.
