After consultantion with the Studyguider community, it has been decided to move the submitted works to a CC-BY-SA license.CC Logo

The CC-BY-SA license is a Creative Commons license which requires author attribution and for the right to share, modify and reuse the content to be maintained in any further distributed works.

It allows for easier reuse of content, and in that respect is more compatible with the goals of Studyugider.

This license will come into effect from the 31st July on all works on this site, using the GFDL Section 11 which allows multi-author sites to transition from the Gnu Free Document License to the CC-BY-SA.

From that point onwards, all new works will be published under a CC-BY-SA license.

Studyguider is currently automatically licensing all submissions under the GNU Free Document License (FDL).
Due to some lobbying from the Wikipedia board, there has been an amendment to the license which allows (for a short time period) FDLed documents to be relicensed as Creative Commons.More specifically, CC-BY-SA, which is a Creatvie Commons, Attribution, Share Alike license.

This license is better designed to work with collaborative projects such as Studyguider.

Should anyone have any reason why they feel this is inappropriate or wish for their work to no longer be available on the site due to this change, please let This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
Otherwise, we will be moving all documents on the site to the new CC-BY-SA license before the start of August (the end of the conversion window).
